Ceva supports VETSCO

By supporting this initiative, Ceva has once again proven their dedication to “Going Beyond Animal Health”. Ceva has committed to assisting VETSCO wherever possible in their endeavour to change lives and impact the many communities where they serve.

Veterinary Services is still a rare skill in South Africa, and is not easily accessible, nor is it readily available to all people. This has led to some Veterinary students forming VETSCO, a veterinary student founded club that comprises of student Vets and nurses who voluntarily offer Veterinary services to communities. This initiative is making a huge difference in the various communities which they service, and ultimately, the country at large.

VETSCO will not only serve as an up-skilling exercise for these undergraduate professionals, but will also enable them to impart their knowledge on the communities which they volunteer at.  They offer a range of services, which includes clinical services, extension and awareness campaigns on Zoonotic diseases as their core specialities.

Much like all non-profit organisations, in order for VETSCO to be a success, constant funding is needed.  CEVA South Africa has donated a total sum of R10 000.00 towards this initiative.
